EDU DAO 
for Blockchain Training and Education Institutions

The Blockchain world is rapidly changing. Not only must we adapt to the exponential technological developments and breakthroughs. We also  need to develop and implement new methods to master the fast-growing body of knowledge in order to make it applicable in a hyper-entrepreneurial, unregulated environment with international and interdisciplinary markets.  Without out-of-the-box thinking and new methods for academic inquiries, research, education, and training we will not be able to face these new challenges .

That is why the European Blockchain Association is launching this call to join and create an EDU DAO which connects institutions teaching blockchain around Europe. We believe creating a vivid community that leverages all the knowledge and insights of “how & what to learn in the blockchain field” benefit all members of the blockchain education arena, industry and society. Especially when it is based on the blockchain spirit and values: transparency, p2p, decentralization, and open sharing.

A 2020 LinkedIn survey found that blockchain skills are no.1 in the future economy and business world. We have a major challenge to tackle, exploring how blockchain is transforming education, especially in higher education, vocational schools, community colleges, universities, and corporate training and development. It is almost impossible for one individual to follow all the dynamic technological changes, shifts and trends. 

• The goal of the EDU DAO is to connect institutions teaching blockchain around Europe.
• The EDU DAO acts as a joint platform for knowledge sharing, community support, and the exchange of ideas. It offers the chance to tackle common challenges together.
• The EDU DAO will make the work of all participants more effective, easier to keep up-to-date, more impactful and transparent.
• Creating an EDU DOA means walking-our-talk and living the technology and culture we are teaching, thus also improving inclusiveness and sustainability.

The EDU DAO supports an understanding of how blockchain can improve the European educational sector — from establishing student identity, protecting their privacy, financing their coursework, measuring their progress, and recording their credentials of achievement through open data exchange protocols.

The EDO DAO supports the  education of the ecosystem on how the development of micro credentialing capabilities, pay-as-you-learn funding models, and massively open online courses, plus the co-creation of open educational resources, are making the meta-university and lifelong learning affordable and accessible for more students worldwide.
